Dems Take 10% Hit, No Matter The Candidate
http://rhymeswithright.mu.nu/archives/258684.phpIt must suck to have a race for the nomination so polarized that at least 1 out of every 5 voters for one candidate or the other will bolt to the GOP in November if the other candidate gets the nomination - meaning a 10% loss of voters committed enough

Obama’s the Democrat Nominee, Let’s get to Work
http://www.macsmind.com/wordpress/2008/05/06/obamas-the-demo...Obama’s the Democrat Nominee, Let’s get to Work May 6 at 7:07pm by Macranger I’m not posting results from NC or IN tonight because as a conservative Republican I don’t care who the Democrats put forward on the ballot as their choice the issue to to beat them in November. At this point it looks like - unless Barack slips on a banana peel or something - he will be the nominee. I’m one who believes with every conservative bone in my body that Hillary will run as Obama’s running mate. This would provide one of the worst, best case senerios for our side. In the worst case it would of course fulfill the supposed liberal dream of diversity by proving both a racial and a gender ticket. I’ve long said that liberals have always touted a ticket with one or the other but not both at the same time. Either one running by themselves would alienate the support of the other. Feminists who have worked to have a women in a position such as Hillary’s in have been angered by the fact that she is losing to a man. The backlash could be significant enough to cause many women to cross over to vote for McCain in revote. Barack needs Hillary to win. His significant baggage has only begun to reach the surface and - there is so much more that could be exposed and connected. Subsequently to win in November Barack doesn’t win on his own merits, fleeting as they are - but by a combined two punch assault. It’s time therefore to get to work towards beating a possible Obama/Hillary juggernaut and the time is now. UPDATE: This result out of NC proves my point. “Obama’s victory there was tempered by the fact that Clinton beat him handily among white voters, extending her argument to superdelegates who will decide the nomination that she will be the stronger general- election candidate.” Again, they were made for each other.

Democrats may vote for McCain
http://notb4coffee.com/2008/04/18/democrats-may-vote-for-mcc..."A sizable proportion of Democrats would vote for John McCain in the upcoming presidential election if he is matched against the candidate they do not support for the Democratic nomination." "This is particularly true for Hillary Clinton supporters," they add, "more than a quarter of whom currently say they would vote for McCain if Barack Obama is the Democratic nominee." I happen to be one of them! I’ll vote for McCain in a heartbeat if Clinton doesn’t win the nomination! I absolutely cannot and will not vote for a candidate who sees something as significant as wearing an American lapel pin as trivial. This tells me he is 1) out of touch with the American people and 2) not as patriotic (even symbolic) as he should be. It’s the little things that mean a lot to me when it comes to a candidate and Barack hasn’t offered up any ‘little things’ that I can believe in. I don’t like that he won’t sing the anthem - I don’t like that he won’t wear an American pin during campaigning - I don’t like that he can’t stand firm against a minister that speaks out against American’s in such a hateful way - Technorati Tags: Barack Obama,Hillary Clinton,John McCain, election, democrat, republican, primaries
