Now here's the thing that's particularly interesting about Michael and his new site: It truly shows what's possible for anyone who takes a serious look at social media. You see, Michael and I exchanged e-mails in May of this year and his opinion was slightly different.
Just six months ago, Michael was exploring social media. He wasn't sure about what to do with social media, or if he would even stick with it. Michael's a business person just like you and me. He made the time to look social media over from front to back, and he got in touch with people more experienced than himself. Now he's partners with those people.
His website has articles about how to use social media well, what's happening with this rapidly evolving marketing tool, and interviews with social media experts. Like any good blog, you can even subscribe to their RSS feed, e-mail updates and tweets.
I've already used his article about adding retweet buttons to a PDF file. As an author and information marketer, you can bet I'm going to be using that article over and over and over again!
By the way, they launched Oct 12 and went straight into the Top 100 Small Business Blogs on Technorati. That alone should give you an idea how much thought and effort Michael has put into his new site.
That Michael got to where he is in just six months should be absolutely screaming the potential of social media. This is the man who wrote the book on writing white papers - the technical, thoughtful, rational niche for copywriters. If Michael's interested in social media, you know it's because he sees real business potential for it.
