  1. 2 finished objects

    Yep, that's right - TWO finished sweaters. Two sweaters that I'll actually wear out the house! Please excuse my crappy self portraits in a dirty mirror, but I was too impatient to wait on some help :) This is my cavern cardigan. I actually finished knitting this months ago, but never got around to sewing on the ties or weaving in the ends until this morning. …

  2. everyday beauty :: day 1

    http://artsycraftybabe.typepad.com/artsycrafty_babe/2008/11/everyday-beauty.html

    This is one of my favorite spots in my house. I can't help but feel good when I look at the pattern of the dappled sunlight filtering though the wooden shade and linen curtains. This scene only happens for a little while, so I have to capture it while I can. When I see those white pillows, I think "comfort". …

  3. dreamy

    http://artsycraftybabe.typepad.com/artsycrafty_babe/2008/11/dreamy.html

    I could resist no longer - I had to find out what all the fuss was about. Malabrigo, yes, this is some dreamy yarn. No plans, just stash building, I suppose. Maybe this will turn into some Christmas gifts. Maybe. If I can part with this yummy yarn, that is... Here's my progress on the simple knitted bodice. …

Here's the goods she sent - Her Short and Sassy Pleated Handbag, can be found in Beki's etsy shop if you happen to have a hankering for a cute new bag! I'm trying to decide which fabric to make mine from - I'll fill you in as I make

    Find the joy in each moment

    http://melissaschoenhardt.blogspot.com

    Check it out, my shop was featured in the online magazine, Craftier. Not really a big deal, but I thought it was cool. You really should look at the issue, There are SO many awesome handmade things, tutorials, ideas and recipes. Plus, my blog friend Beki was also featured and did a tutorial for making dishtowel potholders. I didn't know she was going to be in it too, until I saw it in her blog. A lot of other people that I admire contributed as well. Thanks Craftier!

    Every Sewing Project Has a Story

    http://shellysjournal.net/2008/11/16/every-sewing-project-ha...

    my sewing projects, things happen - good and bad - in the process and ultimately, every single thing I make seems to have a story. Some of them are more interesting than others. I inherited a new bag. It’s the Erica Bag by Beki (pattern available in her Etsy Shop.) This is the second version I made of this bag. I made the first one on my Janome, but this one I did on the old Singer 301A. Did I mention that the 301 is great for quilting? But not so great for bag making. I
