  1. Sawtoothed coriander

    http://ascientistinthekitchen.net/rice/sawtoothed-coriander/

It’s been a while since I’ve contributed an entry to Weekend Herb Blogging, but now I am back to share with you this wonderful Thai herb called pak-chee or sawtoothed coriander, named so because of the leaves which are long, slender and serrated. 2. From pancakes to crepes

    http://ascientistinthekitchen.net/desserts/from-pancakes-to-crepes/

The coconut pancakes I made a few months ago were a big hit, but my original plan is to actually perfect making coconut crepes. Or just crepes in general. I’ve always been fascinated with crepes ever since I got my first introduction to crepes in Old Quebec. I have this old pocketbook on crepes which I usually read before sleeping. …

  3. Binatog

    http://ascientistinthekitchen.net/food/binatog/

I can only drool with envy when my blogging friends Wandering Chopsticks and A Scientist in the Kitchen talk about the produce they have in their own gardens and the dishes they make with their produce. But I live in the heart of a mega-city, where heat, traffic congestion and pollution is a way of life. Space is precious, and the weather is not conducive to growing green li

5 Turkey Strategies To Contemplate This Weekend

    http://www.cookthink.com/blog/?p=1460

re tired of the same old roasted turkey, here are some ideas for switching up the Thanksgiving meal this year. 1. A cinnamon harissa spice rub will liven up the dinner table. 2. Experiment with a new cooking method: deep-fried or spit-roasted. 3. You’ve undoubtedly heard the bird-brining testimonials. But if salt water doesn’t make your mouth water, how about a cider-based brine? 4. If it’s the bones that bug you, there’s always

    Birthday Fare

    http://everythingsherbed.blogspot.com/2008/11/birthday-fare....

I had a simple birthday celebration last month. My family and I had lunch in our garden. Dad cooked my favorite Chicken Adobo sa Gata using native chickens which he raised in our backyard. My sister Gay cooked pork barbecue and Bam-i (noodles). She also surprised me with Choco-Banana Crepe for dessert. Here's my dad's Chicken Adobo sa Gata (chicken in coconut milk): 1 medium size chicken, cut into pieces
