Context vs Content
http://blog.overlay.tv/2008/08/06/context-vs-content/When it comes to advertising, content alone is not enough anymore. If we rely purely on a narrative then we as advertisers end up battling Hollywood for attention span. The silver bullet in this battle is to not only infer context, some information about where that user is and what they are doing, …

Edit your Overlay right in your blog.
http://blog.overlay.tv/2008/08/02/edit-your-overlay-right-in-your-blog/One of the coolest features of Overlay.TV is the ability to use the bookmarklet (grab it from your MyPage) to create Overlays on videos in place and then save it to Overlay.TV and share it right from there to your blog. What most bloggers don’t know is that once you have done that you can actually fine tine or edit the Overlay in place on your blog. …

One Degree
http://www.onedegree.cahas plans to help you monetize video streams. It comes from Silicon Valley. Seems similar to what Ottawa's Overlay.TV is doing. Except I think Overlay.TV does it better. Speaking of Overlay - they just moved into 0.9 Beta. Keep track of them on their blog. AppAppeal is a directory of reviews of Web 2.0 sites. Get a list of the major sites under topics like "Travel" or "Shopping" or "Dating" (good if you want to target certain sites for advertising).

http://bitpakkit.blogspot.com/2008/07/overlaytv-beta-09-i-fl...officially the last phase of our beta, and the good news is that many of the widgets, payment system and more are now fully functional in this beta version. Check it out at Overlay.TV or to stay on top of future updates, follow the Overlay.TV blog at blog.overlay.tv. One interesting way to get a handle on how people are using Overlays is to browse through the Overlays with the Most Referrals - these Overlays have ultimately produced the most traffic for their creators.

Shill Podcast - A homo-erotic journey through music, video games, iPhones and virtual worlds
http://www.webwalker.ca/2008/07/24/shill-podcast-a-homo-erot...13:26 Having not fully bludgeoned the music topic to death, Doug brings up PVRs and in a strange Shill moment, starts talking up one of Dave’s clients: Overlay.TV. Dave seizes the opportunity to shamelessly promote them as well. (Hey Rob and Ben! Overlay.TV rocks.) 16:30 Still going with music. Seriously. Dave eventually gets round to insulting people in the TV advertising business. And how Doug and Dave laugh! You can hear their sides splitting.
