June 29th, 2008 was a big day in my life; it was my first EVER parade. I can “proudly” say that Chicago’s 39th Annual Gay Pride Parade was my first parade. This is a good parade to start from, because it’s definitely the Midwest’s largest and one of the country’s best Pride parades. …

Your Moment
http://blog.steppenwolf.org/2008/06/30/your-moment/While we were in New York for the Tonys, revelling in the wonderful success of our August artists, the folks back home were in tech rehearsals for Tracy’s new play, Superior Donuts. Knowing that our work in new play development was on-going and that our Chicago audiences would be the first to see Tracy’s next play was a deeply gratifying experience. …

First Look, First Rehearsal
http://blog.steppenwolf.org/2008/06/26/first-look-first-rehearsal/The first day of rehearsal for any play ignites the rehearsal room with a kind of hopeful energy. How to Play a Dead Man
http://chiacting.blogspot.com/2008/06/how-to-play-dead-man.h...notes on how to play a dead man include: Acting is re-acting. It’s true. Don’t react to anything on stage. You are dead. All great actors listen to their scene partners. You can listen, but you can’t hear. Once again, you are dead.

http://steveonbroadway.blogspot.com/2008/06/tracy-letts-on-s...concludes the season with acclaimed ensemble member Tracy Letts' provocative world premiere comedy about the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship. UPDATE (June 19, 2008, 1:00 p.m. EDT): Castmember Jon Michael Hill blogs about what it's like to work with Tracy Letts and Michael McKean, saying: This is as excited about a play that I have ever been. A lot of it has to do with Tracy and Michael McKean. I have two reasons you want to work with them too:

Reviews!
http://timfoolery.wordpress.com/2008/06/08/reviews/Life is predictable, it’s true! People die when they’re old! I liked the lack of formulaic plotline — sure, it rambled a bit, but that just allowed more time to get to know the large cast. Dead Man’s Cell Phone Tim: A-. Has That Moment Passed
http://jayraskolnikov.blogspot.com/2008/05/has-that-moment-p...always be compared to a predecessor, especially one who is remembered as a champion of Chicago theatres the way Christiansen is, whose influence has been credited both with the "Chicago Style" and the huge growth in theatres in the city. Let alone that little theatre in that church basement he championed in the early days. Now there is so much more going on, no one person can cover it all. That makes it difficult for any critic to keep up with what goes on in our city. And when there is a disconnect you get
