Sacred Witness | Photography as Presence

My name is Carla Royal, and I am the creator of Sacred Witness Blog. Sacred is an anagram for scared, and that is where I came from—a scared and contracted human being because I felt different and ashamed. The Witness is the seat of attention. In learning to bring attention and intention to all–rather than drifting through life half awake–I have found much freedom and expansion. Through the eyes of the Witness all becomes sacred, even this unconventional person named Carla. Witnessing the world within and without brings me tremendous joy, and I love sharing that joy with others through photography, story and transformative coaching. It is my hope that in sharing my photos, stories, tips and tricks, you will feel the invitation and inspiration to become a witness to life—moving from scared to sacred.
