Cooking With Hoover

Started in 2009, Cooking With Hoover is a bi-weekly cooking and food photography blog, named for the owner's "foodie" cat Hoover who sits and watches him cook. Shea Evans, Cooking With Hoover's author, is a long time professional sushi chef, home chef and professional photographer. Almost all food featured is cooked, styled and shot by Shea Evans. Unlike many food blogs, each post includes two photographs, a creative, at times abstract, "raw" ingredient photograph and the finished photograph. Recipes include "found" recipes from cookbooks and magazines, reader submitted recipes and the blog author's, Shea Evans, own creations. The recipe for the post is included in every post as well as comments as to it's quality, preparation techniques, pitfalls, any recommended changes and photographic challenges and successes. Links are provided within the blog that allow readers to purchase kitchen tools, photography equipment and hard to find cooking ingredients.
