New month, new flavour! This month the Cream Puffs in Venice Flavour of the Month is Trish Magwood’s Dish Entertains: Everyday Simple to Special Occasions. I’ve owned this book for quite awhile now and as is the case with most of the cookbooks I own, I’ve never tried a recipe. …

Often, when I’m together with friends or family, and the topic turns to food (when doesn’t it turn to food?), we find ourselves inevitably discussing food shows and cookbooks. Whenever Giada De Laurentiis’ name comes up, the reaction is interesting. …

ll smooth sailing. I decorated my cookies with royal icing made with 1 egg white and enough icing sugar to make an icing that can be piped easily through a small tip. The red and white sugar decorations are from Wilton. This month, I am hosting Magazine Mondays while Ivonne takes a break. Joining me today with an absolutely decadent-looking recipe is Debbie of Taste of Sweetness and her Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding with Espresso Whipped Cream -totally drool-worthy! Check it!

"bubble caramel", a caramel technique that makes me giggle everytime I use it, although be careful as you "play" with pouring hot sugar syrup over alcohol to create the bubble effect. Thank you Lisa and Ivonne once more and our wonderful hostesses! Check out the rest of the Daring Bakers and their fantabulastic creations here.
