LEAD -LEaders Accelerating Development program is run by Deshpande Foundation specially for the college students.Stdents take up some social issue and try to solve it in their own way. LEAD provides all the resources and informations to bring their ideas into reallity. Aproblem could be from any sector e.g.Technlogy, Environment, Education, Health, Agriculture. They design and plan to solve those problems as their innovative project. One who takes the initiation to solve a problem, we call them a LEADer. We believe in convincing by action as our tag line says "Complaints... Start with 'They' Solutions... Start with'I'". This blog was created on 2007 so as to document all those projects done by college students in this part of Karnataka,India. LEAD at present consists of 4000 students from nearly 50 colleges and 7 districts in northern Karnataka. LEAD aims at generating young entrepreneurs to aid to the Developing India. Many students from LEAD program are now successful entrepreneurs.
