    After Brian and I had time to think about it (read: we had a spirited fight), we decided that the cantor was *not* the best officiant for us, and that neither of us wanted the religious ceremony, so we’ve asked our friend The Doctor to perform the ceremony, and once the weekend is over, we’ll be letting the cantor know as well (He said yes, by the way).
