My name is John and I come from a very dysfunctional family including criminals, addicts and some plain old weirdos. This blog is an attempt to vent some toxicity from my life, help others find hope and perhaps make a few people laugh. I know what it’s like growing up in a dysfunctional family and I know what it’s like when you don’t really know what’s wrong. I struggled for many years looking for answers and meaning and purpose in life but it was always like driving with a broken GPS. I’m almost 40 and I’ve worked as a web designer for many years and taught web design at a college in Boston before that. Secretly I would love to be an MMA fighter and fight for the title. I started to get healthy when I discovered www.AdultChildren.org and began attending meetings in the Boston area. The ACOA literature states “The healing begins when we risk moving out of isolation.” I couldn’t agree more. If you are suffering alone I know how hard it can be to go to a meeting or reach out to someone. BUT NO ONE CAN DO
