I was born, and subsequently spent the next twenty years (or so) in Calgary (Canada), where I worked in Project Management in the oil sands industry for a spell and studied International Business at the University of Calgary. Ever a seeker of enlightenment and happiness, I spent a year learning Japanese in Osaka, a year re-learning economics and management in a new tongue in Kyoto, and now I live in Osaka and am a 3rd year finance major at a university in Kyoto. I also am a contributing writer/translator at Global Voices Japan and Lingua Japanese.
