I began my blog in 2009 to share images of my artisan made lampwork glass beads. I use it as an outlet to reach people who may take an interest in the art form. I've worked hard to improve the quality of my photographs over the past few years. I'm proud to say that I've accomplished the necessary improvements. I learned to lampwork in 2005 making small vessels with borosilicate glass tubing. My first torch was a National. Currently soft glass beads are my primary subject and interest. I work mostly with Moretti glass, but I have dabbled with Lausha and Vetrofond. I use a GTT Lynx Torch and have been making beads seasonally for about three years now. When I became pregnant with my first child in 2010 it changed the pace of my blog. I began involving Lucas in many of my posts. Becoming a Mom has given me a new respect for life. I'm learning from Lucas and grateful that he inspires me to make beautiful things.
