I started Global Gourmande in October 2011, when my fiancé and I engaged in a 6-month trip around the world, as a way to share my food-related experiences along our journey. My curiosity for food is multi-faceted, from cultivation and markets, to nutrition and preparation of course, as well as reviews and stories of food from all over the world. Global Goumande reports my observations and understanding of how food is viewed and prepared throughout the fascinating places which we get to visit, shares my reactions to our culinary encounters, and records recipes which I collected on the road.
