There isn’t all that much to talk about when you spend your days swimming around. There aren’t that many folk who want to chat to you about anything meaningful. No one bothers to say hi and as a species we’re inept at smiling. A nod of acknowledgement or greeting is beyond possibility. I wish it had been my relatives that dragged themselves onto the shore. Instead, they just watched, laughing.
