Outré

Creative fiction shorts with themes of love, fashion and offbeat living. It’s dirty, honest, brutal, beautiful, detailed and imaginative, and aims to pinch the nerves inside our hearts and souls. The purpose of Outré is for each post to contain at least one thousand words as an exercise in style and writing. Each of these posts are pretty much first drafts, with just a cursory sweep for spelling and grammar. The focus is on developing strong narrative voice, characterisation and the general flow of each short, as well as rapidly developing a “case study” style story – defining the point at which the short starts.
