http://madpraxis.ca Alarryyk (I) am a psychiatric survivor who has struggled with mania and depression for over a decade. After being heavily psychiatrized by discursive and chemical intervention, I struggled with identity, first seeing myself as a mentally ill patient and user of biomedical psychiatry and later as a survivor of psychiatric assault. This blog is an attempt to retain some sanity as I struggle with the legacy of manic spending sprees, exile and continuing dogged pursuit of my degree. |
