I started my blog, Delicious Dishings, more than three years ago, as a way to get all of my thoughts and ideas about food down somewhere. I love trying out new recipes. I have shelves full of cookbooks, a box filled with recipe cards from various family members and other sources, and subscriptions to Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Everyday Food, and Entertaining from Cook's Illustrated to look to for ideas and inspiration. I also read more food blogs than I can keep track of now and love connecting with others in the blogging community through Twitter, our blogs, and local events. I consume every book about food that I can get my hands on. Recent favorites include Under the Table, Spiced, and Spoon Fed. On Delicious Dishings I showcase the dishes I've made as well as provide feedback on different recipes I've tested and offer tips and advice to my readers. I'll occasionally post restaurant and book reviews, and I've started to write about a lot of events lately too.
