I am an American living in London and it is my way of understanding how the UK taste in music differs (and sometimes doesn't!) from my own, and as a music writer it lets me trawl through the history of pop - from pre-rock to punk and beyond. I am doing this in very rough parallel to my husband, who is writing about UK #1 albums on Then Play Long (where I will get my chance to write once in a while) and Tom Ewing's own Popular feature at FreakyTrigger. I began this blog in 2008 and will finish it...when it's right to do so. All comments and linkings are most welcome, and I will reciprocate whenever possible! |
