http://no-online-gst.com/ The campaign by major retailers to apply the 10% GST to all international purchases is fueled by greed and is quite likely to do the domestic retail sector more harm than good. Currently, GST is only payable on purchases over $1000. Any purchase under $1000 does not attract the 10% GST tax. Not only are the retailers drawing national prime time attention to the fact that shopping overseas can save you a lot of money, but they are also causing a serious rift between them and their customers. |
