Autodesk Inventor for Woodworkers

http://opendesignproject.org/wordpress/ Autodesk Inventor for Woodworkers is a website set up specifically to help advance the state of design for the woodworking trades. There are hundreds of pages of tutorials that show how to use Autodesk Inventor with iLogic to quickly create mini programmed parts and assemblies that have what can be described as a design DNA. As the world moves rapidly into 3D parametric design and BIM (Building Information Systems), the woodworking trades are increasingly stuck using old-school tools that cannot connect and collaborate directly with BIM designers, limit design possibilities to what the programmers deem proper (generally three or more years behind the times), and have the very distinct possibility of not being around tomorrow –which would leave the user with a 20-30k digital door stop. Autodesk Inventor is a very high-end 3D modeling package that is now the flagship design program at Autodesk (makers of AutoCAD), and it comes with AutoCAD as well! |

The reason the eye robot scientists are using a 3D mouse is because it is the only way to fluidly navigate in 3D. Would you trust a doctor operating on your eyball with the clumsey "orbit" tools you'll find I imagine the reason they are using a 3D Connexi...
