Mythic Pictures

I am conceptual fine art photographer and self portrait artist living in Los Angeles. Self portraits are, to me, the most expressive and personal art I can make. I am the only person involved in the project from start to finish. They are wonderfully cathartic. I look at the world in a mythic, symbolic way. Everything has meaning, and usually more than one meaning. I let my photos give a view into the world I see and feel. My background as a painter often influences the way I edit my photos to give them a quality somewhere in between a photograph and a painting. I have numerous chronic health issues which often come out in my work and my writing. So does the rest of my life. Everything is connected and it all influences my work, thus it all ends up on the blog at some point.
