Time Wastes Too Fast
Time Wastes Too Fast is a popular culture blog. Elements of today’s pop culture are the classical literature of the future. At different points in the history of Western civilization, what we call the arts today have been denounced as mindless and evil. Theater was once banned in England. It took almost two centuries for novel-reading to be considered a scholarly pursuit. Just when a majority of academics are finally convinced that film is a truly artistic medium, it seems like heresy to suggest that television should be discussed in the same breath with, and with the same intellectual rigor as Eisenstein. And video games are only beginning to fight for a position in the Humanities. I want to encourage my readers to interact with me. I am particularly interested in working with television, video game, and comedy writers and bloggers. I am always interested in guest blogging, as well as jobs editing internet and print publications, and scholarly writing.
