Being Free in Babylon

First of all, if you think you've got Christianity or God, or even life, all figured out... this probably isn't for you. Life, and Christianity, at least in my life and those around me is NOT something that just happens. There's work involved, and mistakes, and confusion, and mistakes, and learning, and mistakes. Oh yeah... did I mention mistakes? I make many mistakes. I find there's a lot of similarity between the society we are living in right now and the biblical Babylon. And as Christian, I find I'm labeled a heretic by the very people that think they've got Christianity, or God, or life, all figured out. So it really feels like an exile. Exiled and in Babylon? That's biblical, right? In a metaphorical sense, but also in a very real sense. One of the most inspired bible teachers I ever had made comment on the fact that "the majority" is very often NOT a very Godly thing.
