David Weinberger had some interesting comments at ROFLcon on the nature of “fame” and Web 2.0. He says, “perfection is the enemy of credibility” from which I’m led to conclude that we ought to be engaged in the pursuit of credibility, not perfection. …

Happy Blogaversary, Sis!
http://www.blyberg.net/2008/02/06/happy-blogaversary-sis/It’s hard to believe that my sister’s blog turned one year old today–where did that time go? What’s not hard to believe is how absolutely fantastic it is, though. Every post she makes is a moment of clear sublimity and a quiet celebration of joy–which pretty much sums up everything she does. …

Ding # 21 Sociaal catalogiseren
John Blyberg

Tagging in workflow context
http://freerangelibrarian.com/2008/05/10/tagging-in-workflow...Amazon, the tagging has devolved into a shouting match. For some time I’ve been pondering tagging in the context of a user’s workflow. Tagging in library catalogs hasn’t worked yet for a number of reasons, such as these rather obvious points: John Blyberg has noted that without critical mass, tagging is useless. I’d go farther and say without critical mass, tagging could backfire, because only the most determined cranks and pranksters might actually use it. A local library catalog is not beefy enough

Week 8 - Mashups
http://brianfinnegan.wordpress.com/2008/05/08/week-8-mashups...I will confess that I did not know much, if anything, about Mashups as an individual item. Once I figured out that they were the combination of two exiting applications, then I understood. I read the post about Go-Go Google Gadget (http://www.blyberg.net/2006/08/18/go-go-google-gadget/
