Career Design

I belong to the baby boom generation (born 1946-1964) and I have spent most of my career in large corporations where I made changes in jobs, job categories or career path when opportunities appeared. It was not until I had a life changing event, a near fatal bicycle accident, did I chose and created the opportunity to make a change. Like many of my generation I did not make purpose driven decisions when it came to my career. The employers created the positions and offered the opportunities. My business, My Career 4 My Life, and this blog, Career Design, is about assisting experienced professionals in making purposeful career decisions. It is also about looking at the whole picture: family, finances, personal wants and needs to make a holistic career decision. This means you need to create a design that takes all of this into consideration. |
