    http://www.catskillhouse.us/blog/bottling-day/

I woke up on Saturday and said «Today is the day I bottle my first batch of home brewed beer.» All week I have been watching the fermenter bubble away, it was exciting to say the least. Some pictures of their mason’s repairs can be seen on this recent post. Simspon’s Folly: Larry has made me (Ethan) very envious of his great new woodshop. Combine that with random twisters and I’m hooked. Homeowner’s Blog: We’ve said it before, but Paul has a great blog. He’s a wealth of knowledge. We especially like the posts about solar power. Home Construction Improvement: Todd is one of the few general home improvement bloggers out on the net.  He and I

home heating this coming year.  Many families may need to choose between heating and eating.  Not a pleasant thought. There are some things that can be done to reduce heating and electrical costs.  I strongly recommend that people start now by Adding insulation to the attics, walls and floors. Seal up any outside air infiltration with calks and foam fillers. Replace old single pane windows and doosr with new energy efficient units. Have you furnace or boiler serviced. Replace old inefficient boilers or furnaces with newer more efficient

benefits of reducing pollution and increasing energy independence. ---- This article was written by guest blogger Paul Thurst. Paul writes an excellent blog about home improvement and fixing up his home in the Eastern Catskill Mountains of NY called Homeowner's Blog. Paul has recently designed and installed a domestic solar hot water system for his home and started his own solar business. I think you'll find his blog very informative and worth visiting on a regular basis. I want to thank Paul for taking time out

winter is about one inch -- sorry about that , you guys in northern Maine. You don't have to form them to do a pour, but I think it's easier to do so, and looks a bunch nicer than a concrete "cow pie" under a support post. You can use scrap lumber or cardboard tubes. Depending on local requirements, you may also have to install rebar or anchors as additional protection against movement. The principle consideration is the frost line as it may be as much as four feet deep.

He backed everything he said up with equations and accurate results. I couldn’t say it better myself, so please read his post and its comments.

One Project Closer: Home Improvement Blog

    http://www.oneprojectcloser.com

I really enjoy blogging about my home improvement experiences. And I’ve gained plenty of know-how, discovered creative solutions and avoided many problems from reading about other peoples home projects. A couple blogs I really enjoy reading are Homeowner’s Blog by Paul and The Box House by Joanne. Feel free to shoot me an email or leave a comment. I always enjoy the feedback. Hope to see you around.
