Matthew was the Sous Chef and I was the hostess, but we had far from the classic short-lived restaurant romance. Total opposites, we fell fast in love over post-shift dinners at restaurant tables across the Twin Cities. A few months in, we joked about one day getting married. Eight months later, we walked down the aisle. We fell in love over food and quickly found there is nothing we love more than spending time together in the kitchen. At home we tend to eat mostly natural foods and we don’t limit ourselves to abiding by one “diet” label. Labels aren’t fun, and Matthew has never been good at following rules. Instead we try to eat as health-conscious as possible. Food brought us together and our intent is to share the stories behind the recipes we make in our kitchen. We are excited to share how Matthew’s culinary skills and my healthy foods passion make good food, clean and simple.
