I am Joe Wainwright, a professional photographer and writer from North Wales, UK. My blog was launched in September 2012. It reflects my passion for Britain’s many and wonderful gardens; its stately homes, abbeys, cathedrals and other ancient buildings; as well as its varied landscapes and historic villages, towns and cities. I specialise in taking photographs, whether through commissions or for stock libraries, of gardens, heritage, and tourism related subjects. I cover the whole country - and in my blog I write about my travels. I don’t just focus on my photography, I also tell the often fascinating story of the places I visit – and my goal is to inspire others to discover and enjoy these destinations too. All posts are illustrated with my own photos and the blog also features a portfolio of my images. I welcome any comments and personal recollections about the places featured in the blog.
