I am a 28 year old proud military wife & mother to two beautiful little girls through the blessing of adoption. My husband Roy (who's 30) & I were married on May 26th of 2004. After 3 years of infertility we began our adoption journey in 2007 through the process of fostering while we were stationed in California. Because foster parenting & adoption have played such a huge role in our married life it is something I have frequently blogged about. Our adoption journey via foster care fills up a large portion of the archives. Another recent journey I have been on & something I often discuss is my weight loss from a decision to undergo Roux-N-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery back in October 2009. I also like to include some favorite recipes on my "Favorite Food Friday" posts. Occasionally Roy even adds his own post here which is a special little treat from time to time & the rest of my postings are typically the comings & goings of our days as experienced by The Laslink.
