Life at DrTom's
I retired after 30 years as a university professor and a conservation biologist. I began my blog in August 2009. Most of my blogs are a humorous look at the world. I write about family, friends, social networking sites, gardening, living in Costa Rica or Korea, traveling in East Africa, Egypt, or Madagascar, and life in retirement on 12 acres in upstate New York. Some blogs are more serious and describe a biological phenomenon, an environmental issue, or some animal I have studied or known. DrTom, as his students used to call him, has a philosophical eye for nearly everything.
