Lilac Black is an active-wear collection offering feminine concepts that are exquisitely styled and impeccably constructed to withstand the toughest, no-nonsense activities. Lilac Black is the collaboration of Catherine LaBelle (Director of Design and Partner of Lilac Black) and Heidi McGill (Designer/Partner of Lilac Black). The concept of Lilac Black came from their decision to celebrate the powerful and opposing strengths of women. Like the combination of these colors, women are equally feminine and powerful, ethereal and grounded, graceful and explosive. The Lilac Black Ladies worked together for years at Betsey Johnson, and have a combined 20 years of experience in the Fashion and Apparel Industry. Helping women feel gorgeous (fitting together style, personality and purpose) has allowed them to be the best listeners, stylists and, ultimately, designers. Their designs are inspired by their love and backgrounds in marketing, photography, design and women everywhere.
