The Mental Recession
During the 2008 Presidential campaign, the economic advisor to John McCain, Phil Gramm, remarked that our nation was in a mental recession. He was subsequently bashed for the term. While the intent behind Gramm’s comments were vastly different, striking an economic tone, the rise to power of the Democrats in 2006, and the subsequent election of President Obama based on popularity over politics indicates that our nation has indeed entered a mental recession. It is time America pulled out of this recession. It is time to return America to the principles upon which she was founded. It is time to restore America to her conservative roots.
