MoneyCone is one man’s experience with… well, money! Saving and spending money should be a simple concept. Yet, an average American has over $15,000 in credit card debt alone and our national savings rate is at an all time low. The money masters don’t make this any easier either. The more confused you are, the more money they can make. This is called stupidity tax. Shopping for a home? Know what’s the difference between an interest rate and an APY? Why do credit cards use APR and not APY? Is there a difference? These are some basic questions that everyone should be aware of. Yet, most don’t and happily fork over their hard earned money. This blog came out of frustration and having gotten tired of paying stupidity taxes. I decided to learn as much as I can about finance. Most of my posts are short and to the point – in the form of HOWTOs. That way you won’t have to spend as much time I spend on grasping financial concepts!
