I have started or been involved with many different blogs and websites, and I have experienced various levels of success with this kind of writing. This project was inspired by my work with another blog: The Israel Situation. I recently started a series of posts there about NGOs and non-profit organizations in Israel. The experience has been so eye-opening and perspective-shifting about the world of social action, I want to expand my study outside of Israel. Having said that, there will definitely be a bit of cross-posting (with credit to my original source, of course). By day, I am a professional in the non-profit world. I will admit that the group I work for is progressive, liberal, and we work for the "public interest" issues like health care, public transportation, and environmental policies.
