Media swarms to Giants Stadium I can’t speak for the Giants, but I can tell you this much: I’m distracted by this Plaxico Burress mess. The small, cramped, smelly, windowless press room at Giants Stadium is currently jammed with about as many reporters as it was before the NFC championship games. …

Oh, and he (allegedly) had dragged teammate Antonio Pierce with him. But oh, it gets better. The tabloids are humming today with accusations that he got the club and the hospital where he (allegedly) was treated to not report the gun shot. Not reporting a gun-shot wound is also a crime. The super agent did say, however, that Burress will be in the stadium today, as required by the team. "Oh yes," Rosenhaus said. "Yes. I talked to him about that today. He's looking forward to seeing the Giants. The Giants as an organization have been remarkably faithful and loyal to Plax throughout his career there." Definition of "remarkably faithful" - Fining a player 40-50 times over the span of approximately 50 games and reworking a contract that had 3 years remaining on it. Burress had bled to death while being driven to a hospital instead of taking an ambulance. Honestly, the Giants need to rid themselves of him ASAP. Nothing can be worth this. Of course, the Giants are keeping Pierce in the lineup today. Innocent before guilty and stupid. ESPN.com is reporting that Burress has hired an attorney and is cooperating fully. What a joke! Jay Glazer has some more details here, including the NFL sending a security official to the Giants team hotel in
