Jims | Powershell | Cookbook
Recently, I began looking at Powershell and having worked with both Unix and DOS for a while, was impressed by how intuitive it was to use. It seems to have the functionality of Unix but is slightly more ‘user friendly’ As a SysAdmin, I quickly realised the potential for Powershell to make life a lot easier and wondered why I was not already using it! So I began learning it through a number of resources, mainly online and a couple of books (links on the home page) and am now at a stage where I have used it in a few practical situations at work and home. The aim of this blog is really just to share my learning experience and some of the scripts I write, and give back to the online community from which I have learned so much. As I discover new ways that Powershell can be used and develop my own scripts , I will post them up and hopefully people can use them, comment on them, change them and improve them!
