http://www.rockdefined.com/ Before I dive into the Christian Rock scene, I’d like to take a second and fill you in on how I discovered it. I grew up in the Baptist Church singing old hymns and such in the services on Sunday morning. The older I got the more boring and repetitive these songs became. When I got to middle school, I was introduced to bands like Guns N’ Roses, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers. These bands, this music CHANGED MY LIFE! I was alive! I engulfed myself in it and my parents didn’t seem to mind as long as they didn’t hear any cussing. But my mom tried to push some of the “Christian Rock” of the time on me. I just couldn’t get into it. It was all pretty lame compared to what I was listening too. To what was out there in the secular world. When Jars of Clay came out with Flood, I was a little interested, but it still didn’t compare to the thrashing that Slash brought on every G’N'R album.
