Teen in Jail

Teen in Jail has been featured on ABC Nightly News and ABC World News, Channel 10 in Tampa Bay and in three Florida newspapers. The site averages 7,000 hits per month. Teen in Jail is a blog written by Ted, a 20-year-old prison inmate. He writes letters to a blogger who posts them on www.Teeninjail.com. Ted writes about his crimes, arrests, and life in prison, jail, juvenile detention and drug rehab. Ted was first arrested at age 13. Drugs are a serious problem and the consequences can be severe. Ted wants to help other kids avoid the same mistakes he's made. Ted has been recently transferred to the Largo Residential Re-entry Center in Clearwater, the largest prison reentry center in Florida. Inmates cannot leave the compound except to go to work, but the center helps transition non-violent offenders back into society. Two major networks have contacted Ted about featuring him on television programs once he is released to follow his progress as he starts his life over.
