The Thing With Feathers
A blog about finding hope despite being bedbound from 15 yrs of severe chronic illness, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME CFS) & being a survivor of domestic abuse. About Me : I'm a 35yr old, bedbound with severe M.E. I first became ill in 1996 after a bad case of glandular fever. I spent many yrs fighting my body instead of listening to it, continuing to work as a nurse, (whilst also fighting to survive an abusive relationship) until I was hospitalised with an infection 8 yrs ago, when my ME relapsed & I became housebound. The last 8 yrs have been a great struggle, but I've found that the most important survival mechanism I have is hope.
