The Thrash Metal Times

A heavy metal blog started in 2012. It focuses thrash metal and also the new wave of British heavy metal (NWOBHM). Although we cover big bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer, we also go deeper into lesser known bands such as Exciter, Agent Steel, Venom, and many more. Our blog is for true fans of thrash and NWOBHM, so you won't find any NUmetal or cookie monster growly stuff. We pride ourselves on intelligent writing and deep knowledge of the genre. We go far beyond just simple album reviews and really try to get into the heart of metal. For example, our first blog post was an in-depth article about the impact that Graphic User Interfaces like iTunes have had on heavy metal album covers.
