In 2008 "Top Gear" appeared on BBC America and "The Tuxedo Inn" was born. I was taking care of a mother with Alzheimer's Disease and working a 60 hour a week job in computers. James May, Jeremy Clarkson, and Richard Hammond appeard on American television as the "Top Gear 3" with amazing super car test drives, a "tamed racing driver" named "The Stig", and bizarre contests between the 3. They amazed and amused when they built amphibious vehicles out of clunker cars and drove across the Botswana desert in 2 wheel junkers. For one hour a week, I got to laugh again. I wrote about Top Gear and I wrote about watching Alzheimer's erase my mother. I accepted a challenge to make every post I wrote for a year contain at least one Top Gear reference. 856 posts later I'm still writing about Top Gear and Life.
