ve had Ubuntu installed on my desktop at the house for some time, just to give it a spin.  It seemed to work farily well, but their GNOME environment didn’t feel nearly as polished as openSUSE-GNOME to me. I randomly came across Xubuntu (XFCE based Ubuntu) last night.  I know I’ll probably be met with pitchforks and torches for this, but it kind of looks like a light-colored Vista.  I think the blues and blacks kind of put that image in my head.
