http://yesvy.blogspot.com/ Vermont Yankee is a local nuclear plant now attempting to get state permission to operate for 20 more years. The local newspapers are always full of anti-Vermont Yankee letters, announcements of anti-plant meetings, rallies and vigils. I had been writing letters to the editor in favor of the plant, but I needed a more consistent voice and a place for people to comment. I started my blog on January 1, 2010. The Yes Vermont Yankee blog discusses Vermont Yankee issues, announces meetings about Vermont Yankee, and serves as both an informational blog and a gathering place for local nuclear supporters. A large portion of my readership comes from Vermont. Many people in local government and in opposing organizations read the blog regularly. |
