Bing Business Portal Marketplace and Lists ‘Coming Soon’
It appears that Bing will soon be offering two new features in a user’s Bing Business Portal: Marketplace and Lists. If you log into your Bing account and click on the ‘Marketing’ tab, you’ll see these new features listed on the right side of the header bar with ‘Coming Soon’ listed under them as outlined in the image below. These new tools could prove to be useful to the savvy local business owner.
Bing Marketing - Marketplace
It will be interesting to see what Bing has up their sleeve for the new Marketplace feature, as it appears it will be a store front of sorts that offers “a collection of services from their parties to help you advertise, market and communicate”. In other words, it looks like Bing is trying to bring resources to local businesses to help them better market and advertise their brand.
It seems Bing is still in the process of determining which services and/or products to offer here. When you click on the MarketPlace tab, Bing is asking users to help them “decide what to add to the market place” by selecting what would be most useful for their business from the following two categories:
MARKETING SERVICES: Ad Creation, Loyalty Programs, Customer Communications, Lead Generation, or Analytics
ADVERTISING TYPES: Online Banner, Search Engine, Newspaper, TV/Cable, Direct Mail, Collateral, or Coupons
Bing Marketing - Lists
As far as the new ‘Lists’ feature, it looks like Bing is providing a tool to allow business owners to create and manage customer and email lists to “market, advertise or communicate” with customers, staff, prospects, etc. and to “gain insights into your most frequent and loyal customers”.Continued on the next page
