A good sales person can sell just about anything, including a red brick.

That's what OgilvyOne, a global communications agency, is banking on for with their "World's Greatest Salesperson," contest, which kicked off this week.

It's pretty simple to enter.

The first step is to create a video of two minutes or less that basically is a sales pitch for a red brick. Judges will be looking at the best opening, the best persuasion and the best close.

Now, creativity is going to be key here because contest entrants are selling something that is as low-tech as possible, yet has had a major impact on the infrastructure of our country, literally for centuries.

In this case, as OgilvyOne points out, the only thing that will make this brick special is the way that it's sold.

So, what do winners get?

Finalists will be flown to the Cannes International Advertising Festival for the final vote on June 21, 2010.

The winner will earn both the title of "World's Greatest Sales Person" and a three-month paid fellowship at OgilvyOne helping us craft the sales guide of the future.

So, grab your brick, grab your flip cam and start selling.
