Just in time to get into the frightful spirit of Halloween...

Technorati top advertising blog AdWeek highlights a clever "dare ya" ad campaign created by travel site Booking.com.

The campaign consists of a series of 7 chilling movie-style posters, each daring you to book a room at one of the most haunted hotels in the world.

Click on any poster thumbnail to view the hotel's information page.

The smart ad campaign even has an official movie trailer for the infamous room 410, better known as the Mary Lake Suite of San Francisco's Queen Anne Hotel, one of the haunts you could get through the night in, if you dare...

If these aren't scary enough for you, how about a night's stay at the Timberline Lodge, located at beautiful Mount Hood, Oregon? It's the place the horror movie classic The Shining was based on - at least exterior-wise. The Lodge has embraced its front-end relationship with the Stephen King inspired movie, and even has a "Redrum" event on October 19th. Just $101.00 per person, and they do hope you make it out alive...
