ABC's: Why Google+ Will Beat Facebook.
Two of my favorite games in life after learning the ABC's was Tag and Monopoly. This is precisely Google+'s strategy: A) Create a Good Product; B) Tag a Website; then C) Leverage their Monopoly.
It's widely known that Google dominates web search. This effort by Google to penetrate the Social Network arena just might work and Facebook might just go the way of the dodo bird, or at least MySpace. Just what happens when two Goliaths battle each other? Their respective wineskins are smashed against the rocks.
A) Create a Good Product:
The all-knowing consumer will decide if Google+ is a good product. A key factor for the consumer must include the ability of the user to adopt and to adapt to the new platform. Ultimately, you will decide if Google+ is a good product.
B) Tag a Website:
Google's Game of Tag began when they gave Webmasters and SEOs the chance to place or Tag a + onto Google search results. Big deal you say? It is a big deal for Google because Google chose to only show the + Tag in web search results. Moreover, Google offers these behind the scenes people the chance to Tag + onto their actual web pages. I'm hearing all you naysayers still say Big Deal.
C) Leverage Their Monopoly:
Now, Google's Game of Monopoly begins soon or has it already begun? When Google begins to fully utilize its + Tag in its ever-elusive algorithm for calculating Page Rankings, many Webmasters and SEOs will jump ship from Facebook onto Google+.
Just as herds of buffalo follow each other across the dry plains of Africa in search of water, Webmasters and SEO's will commit to Google+ in order to chase that Page Ranking in web search. Then, like pawns, Webmasters and SEOs will sacrifice themselves as they urge the owners of websites to change marketing tactics to Google+, as web search is still extremely important in finding customers that have never heard of your business. All the dominoes fall right into place as the owners of websites, i.e. businesses, urge their employees from the top down to switch to Google+. In Google's eyes, Facebook might be seen as a Six Sigma defect that needs to be eliminated.
