Apple At Top of "World's Most Admired Companies" in New Report
Apple has seen a lot of action over the last couple of weeks. Not just from all the iPad 3 rumors rolling everywhere, but also from its stock increases as of late. Ever since their earnings release at the beginning of February 2012, Apple (AAPL) has skyrocketed up, claiming over $500 Billion in market capitalization and making it one of the most sought after stock buys of the year.
Now with the iPad 3 launch about to happen on March 7th in San Francisco, and the stock keeping its climb, Fortune magazine has put Apple at the top of their "World's Most Admired Companies" list in a new article. The publication made a statement that stands true to their performance as follows;
To say it was another big year for Apple would be a gross understatement...With the passing of Steve Jobs, questions swirled around the company’s future. But under new CEO Tim Cook’s guidance, Apple continues to prosper.
Other notables that made the top list under Apple were Google, Amazon, Coca-Cola, IBM, FedEx, and Starbucks. The list is dominated by technology companies.
